Faculty Mentoring Networks

What are Faculty Mentoring Networks?

Faculty mentoring networks are:

  • Online groups, typically 10-15 faculty members
  • Focused on a specific topic or material
  • Typically meet every two weeks over a period of several months
  • Led by teams of expert content and pedagogy mentors

What are the benefits of participating in a faculty mentoring network?

  • Interact with colleagues across the country who are teaching similar courses
  • Discover new teaching materials and incorporate them into your course with hands-on help from experts
  • Learn about new pedagogical techniques proven to be effective in the classroom
  • Become more comfortable incorporating quantitative content into your biology courses
  • Provide evidence of your professional development to your department and/or tenure committee

Don't see the topic you are looking for?

Contact us to request a network on a certain topic, and we will notify you if/when it becomes available.

Do you have your own teaching materials that you'd like to test in classrooms nationwide?

Do you have quantitative biology expertise you'd like to share with other faculty?

You can propose and lead your own faculty mentoring network, and the QUBES team can help.   We'd love to hear from you
