repost - blog about iDigBio bringing the biodiversity to the National Academies Summer Institute on Quantitative Biology

Integrated Digitized Biocollections (iDigBio) recently participated in the 2016 National Academies Special Topics Summer Institute on Quantitative Biology. Members of the iDigBio team were super productive and used the workshop to their full advantage! The team recruited participants for their upcoming Faculty Mentoring Network on QUBES Hub, explored how the statistical software package R could be used to analyze museum collection data, and even joined a working group to develop a biodiversity case study that incorporates an introduction to basic stats for undergraduates.

Molly Phillips blogged all about iDigBio team's experience - if you want to see what you missed at the Summer Institute, check out the full blog post here.
