Spotlight on the InTeGrate Faculty Mentoring Network: “InTeGrate-ing” geoscience concepts in biology

InTeGrate is an NSF-funded program that “supports the teaching of geoscience in the context of societal issues, both within geoscience courses and across the undergraduate curriculum.” To help biology faculty use these materials, InTeGrate partnered with QUBES to run a faculty mentoring network. In this network, a diverse group of faculty adapted and implemented the InTeGrate modules in their biology and environmental science classes. The network supported faculty as they worked to 1) use the materials in their unique instructional settings and 2) make the connections to biology-related themes in their curriculum.

For a full summary of the network activities, and a link to instructor stories describing the implementation process, check out this page on the SERC website.
