Due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, we have postponed this meeting.  
Given the uncertainty of the spread of the virus and containment efforts, we are waiting to reschedule the meeting until we have a clearer sense of the situation.  

We had planned a zoom call with the participants to discuss rescheduling the meeting, but given the recent move to close campuses we feel that people have other priorities right now and we have cancelled this call.  We will reach out to you all again later, when things have calmed down.

Please bear with us as we work on the reimbursement procedures for this situation.  NSF has not provided any additional guidance on reimbursements for travel canceled due to cancellations.  Here's what we have from NSF at this time:

Q: A conference has been canceled, but I have nonrefundable travel and/or hotel costs. Can these be charged to a NSF Conference or Travel grant?

A: NSF is currently working internally as well as with our federal partners on a number of proposal and award-related issues pertaining to COVID-19. NSF will communicate with the community about these issues and will provide guidance as further information becomes available. In the meantime, please continue to follow all relevant policies and procedures, including those of your organization, and apply those practices consistently.

It is likely that most people will be able to use their ticket when we reschedule this event, however we recognize that waiting until after the meeting is rescheduled may present a financial burden for some people.  If you need a more immediate reimbursement, please contact Kristin Jenkins (kristin"dot"jenkins"at"bioquest"dot'org).  We will keep you updated on the reimbursement process as we learn more.

All hotel rooms will be cancelled for you.  You do not need to call to cancel your reservation.
