The 2021 Themed issue of the Journal of Microbiology and Biology Education® (JMBE), Teaching in a Time of Crisis, is now available online. This special issue highlights the many ways faculty across various institutions worked quickly to adjust their methods of instruction and support for students as the pandemic required them to shift to remote teaching in 2020. Explore over 60 articles covering topics such as equity and inclusion in online courses, remote labs and online research experiences, engaging remote and online learners, and more today. For an overview of the entire issue, read its introductory editorial, Editorial Perspectives on Adjusting STEM Education to the ‘New Normal’ during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
