Overview

This Excel workbook simulates a linkage analysis problem with up to four alleles. Based on the offspring produced by a multihybrid testcross, the user builds a model of the gene order, recombination frequencies, and liankge phase in the hybrid parent. He or she then conducts a mating experiment based on this model and compares the results to those from the original experiment to see if the model reasonably fits the data. The instructor may set overall parameters such as the number of genes, character and state names, and interference coefficient. (Note that this is a 3 MB file.)
