Spreading COVID Vaccine Confidence: Exploring sources and remedies for COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and mistrust
Welcome to the online home of "Exploring sources and remedies for COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and mistrust," a fully online event hosted by the NC State Biotechnology Program. The interactive panel of COVID and public health experts and group discussions will take place on Tuesday, June 22nd from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM EDT. The event also includes asynchronous opportunities to learn, ask questions, and interact with other participants and organizers before and after the live discussion. Participation in all the synchronous and asynchronous components is strongly encouraged, as full participation will help make the event more empowering for our communities. Event Description
During this highly interactive event, we'll explore the sources of COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy including medical and governmental mistrust, as well as concrete strategies we can take as individuals within our communities to increase public confidence in COVID-19 vaccination. The event includes opportunities to:
- Learn the science behind the COVID-19 vaccines through materials shared in the Collections
- Ask questions, discuss related topics, and share resources and strategies in the Forums
- Hear from a panel of experts on how to communicate about vaccines during the live webinar
- Develop and practice strategies for communicating COVID vaccine confidence in real-life situations through structured small and large group discussions during the webinar

Use the tabs in the navigation pane on the left side of this page to find information, explore content, and interact. Resources and event information will be added by organizers and participants over time, so check back often! The tabs contain the following:
- Schedule contains the schedule of asynchronous and synchronous activities that are part of the event, a complete event description, and will contain the Zoom link for joining the synchronous panel discussion.
- Announcements contains a record of all event announcements. You will also receive announcements by email when they're posted but this is a good place to keep up on what's happening.
- The Forum contains several discussions that are key to participating in the event: panel question submission, discussion about case studies (see Schedule), an open discussion anything related to the event, and a space for questions for the organizers.
- Collections will contain all resources for the event, including documents, videos, case study materials, and a recording of the synchronous panel discussion once available.
