About the Group

Public Description

Strangely, though perhaps 50% of all species live a parasitic lifestyle, parasitism is infrequently and superficially covered in undergraduate biology curriculum.  Parasites are inherently fascinating  to the biologist and layman alike, and provide an opportunity to teach foundational biology concepts while maintaining student interest.  Here is a place where we can share resources that feature parasites, for the array of classes in biology- from strict parasitology courses to introductory biology.

The easiest way to enjoy all the functionality of the site (ability to participate in discussions, edit collections, etc.) is to register for a qubeshub account, and then log in.  Becoming a member of the group is also a good idea, as you will get email updates as people add/edit materials, or discuss issues around teaching parasitology.

Having trouble? Check out the link on the left called "Hints, tips, and instructions" to get oriented to the site.
