The call for applications is now closed.
Applicants must be able to attend all of the online meetings, including a kick-off meeting in mid-September (exact dates and time TBD) and small group meetings every week for 1.5 hours from September - December 2023, at a time convenient for participating faculty. The FMN is open to all to apply.
The application collects basic contact and institutional information and includes answers to the following questions:
- Which HEI module do you want to customize and implement?
- Your current awareness of and/or interest in the 4DEE Framework.
- What ideas do you have to adapt the module before implementing them in your course(s)? (about 100 words)
Once accepted into the Network, participants should commit to the following activities:
- Attending all weekly sessions during the fall semester (September - December 2023).
- Sharing the module you wish to customize and implement with the FMN members.
- Implementing portions of the module in formal or informal sessions or workshops during the FMN.
- Participating in surveys and focus groups to optimize the FMN experience as needed.
- Sharing educational products on the QUBESHub and 4DEE Website, to be recognized as ESA Education Scholar and receive the $1000 stipend.
- Contribute to a session at the virtual 4DEE showcase.
- Organize a workshop and travel to selected conferences in the following year with additional travel support of up to $2200 provided. Deadline is 12/31/2024.
It is important that all participants are able to commit to the full experience. The greatest benefits of these experiences are generated in interactions with colleagues. Your contributions will be critical to the success of this program and will be invaluable to the education community.
