  • Biography

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 2012 for my work on the disruption of native plant-mycorrhizal mutualisms during allelopathic plant invasion. After completing a research postdoc in 2014, I joined the QUBES team in 2015. As a QUBES postdoc, I facilitated several faculty mentoring networks, mentored a team of undergraduates, taught a variety of classes at the University of Pittsburgh, and played a role in planning assessment work to evaluate the outcomes of QUBES faculty development work. In 2017, I accepted a position as Project Manager of Science and Research at Carnegie Museum of Natural History, where I assisted with the day-to-day management of projects and grants across 10 museum departments.

After an extended maternity leave, my passion for education brought me back to QUBES where I am currently filling in for the Director of Community Engagement, Elia Crisucci (on maternity leave).
