Biography
Professor Moustapha Diack, is the former Associate V. P. for Online Learning Services with the Southern University System (SUS), the only Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in America. He is currently affiliated with the Southern University Doctoral Program in Sciences and Mathematics Education (SMED) and is Chairing the College of Sciences and Engineering (CSE) Task Force on Online Education and Professional Training (OEPT). Diack is a recognized leader in the area Education Engineering and oversees a research group with specific research interests focusing on the new advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science (DS), and Cognitive Science (CS) principles and Open Education Resources (OER). His research and expertise strive to open new possibilities, innovations and frontiers, for the customization of virtual learning environments that can lead to individualized Teaching and Learning in the STEM disciplines, to achieve Academic Success and College Affordability. Diack is a global leader in the area of Open Education and is currently leading many national and international R&D initiatives in this field. He is member of the Quality Matters (QM) Board of Directors with a significant expertise in Quality Assurance and digital education and learning. He is part of a wide network of HBCUs in America and international network with higher education in Africa.
