  • Biography

Currently I hold the position of Full-Time Biology Instructor at Davidson-Davie Community College in Thomasville, N.C. I teach courses in General Biology, Environmental Biology and occasionally non-majors Biology. My background includes degrees from UNC-Wilmington  and Texas Tech University. Broadly speaking, my interests fall within the areas of Behavioral Ecology focusing on small mammals (especially bats and rodents), interspecific eavesdropping, and I've recently took an interest in host-parasitoid interactions. When possible, I attempt to link those areas into a broader context in terms of their conservation implications. I currently would like to find researchers with whom I can collaborate or assist on projects of mutual interests.  I am also interested in the implementation of the recommendations from Vision and Change regarding undergraduate education.   I just recently finished an inquiry project and report that researched the potential  incorporation of Undergraduate Research Experiences (UREs) at DCCC.
