  • Biography
I am an Instructional Assistant Professor of Marine Biology at Texas A & M University at Galveston. My background is in marine community ecology with a focus on nearshore and intertidal nutrient cycling via sessile organisms.

I lead our two-semester Introductory Biology lecture & lab sequence, covering the chemical basis of life, structure and biology of the cell, molecular biology, genetics, evolution, history of life, diversity, form, and function of organisms across the tree of life, and basic principles of ecology. I am eager to replace several survey-type labs with inquiry-driven exercises.
