Biobyte 1 - Where are we in the data science landscape? This 30 minute activity was presented at the 2019 BioQUEST / QUBES Summer Workshop titled, “Evolution of Data in the Classroom: From Data to Data Science”. See https://qubeshub.org/community/groups/summer2019 for additional information. The initial collection of biobytes includes four short activities designed to be used with undergraduate faculty to facilitate the collaborative exploration of the intersection of data science and undergraduate biology education. Biobyte 1 - Where are we in the data science landscape? Biobyte 2 - Exploratory data analysis Biobyte 3 - Lab reports as reproducible research Biobyte 4 - The role of data science principles and practices in undergraduate biology education Please see the slide notes for additional information and teaching suggestions. A copy of the slides are also available in Google Slides.
