Summary:
An urban heat island is an urban or
metropolitan area that is on average far warmer
than the surrounding rural areas. In this lesson we will study the impact these warmer temperatures have on the carbon sequestration of urban trees.

Description
Based on a paper titled Urban Warming Reduces Aboveground Carbon Storage, this lesson uses photosynthetic and growth data to show the relationships between warming temperatures attributed to the urban heat island effect and carbon sequestration.
