Description
The Galapagos Islands have been an important natural laboratory for evolution research for over 175 years. The archipelago contains over 40 islands that very in size, habitats and inhabitants. The islands are home to the Galapagos finches (a.k.a. Darwin's finches) which stand as one of the most widely recognized examples of research in evolutionary biology. The 13 species of finches have subtle variations in their beak morphology and behavior that reflect their divergence and ecological specialization.
The BIRDD project is a long running effort to support student engagement with evolutionary and ecological data and promote realistic, research like problem solving.
This publication contains the same presentation in three different file formats. The PDF format file is relatively easy to view but not particularly easy to edit. The PPT format is a widely used proprietary file used by Microsoft. The ODT format is OpenDocument Text which is a standard for sharing. It uploads to Google slides pretty cleanly.

This is my initial posting of the NABT presentation. I will update it to include links to the 2 activities we did during the workshop.
