Description
The Population Dynamics Click & Learn allows students to explore two classic mathematical models that describe how populations change over time: the exponential and logistic growth models. We demonstrated the use of this tool with Lionfish data (instead of the large mammals example in the current student handout), as a preview for a new Lionfish Invasion Click & Learn resource coming in Spring 2020. We also discuss how examples from the primary literature can be used in the classroom to demonstrate density-dependence mechanisms that regulate population size.
