As a biology student, I found this lesson plan to be informative, engaging, and well-structured.  I appreciate the supplementary videos.  Opening the lesson with these videos brings the material to life for students and serves to  help motivate those who may initially lack interest in the subject matter.  The lesson builds upon itself nicely and effectively transitions between topics.  I also feel that there is a good balance between narrow questions that lead students to the correct answer and questions that are more open-ended.

I am reviewing this activity as a biology student, and I am commenting on this resource's content and organization. I found Part 2 of the exercise to be useful and in-depth. In opposition to many Hardy-Weinberg exercises that are available, this activity utilizes real data, and has students calculate phenotypic frequencies in different environments to really exhibit natural selection occurring. The situation is not hypothetical or over-simplified, making it more interesting for the student.

I also appreciated the gradual buildup in difficulty through the sections. The concepts and calculations became progressively more difficult, but not in an overwhelming manner, especially when following the directions closely, to utilize supplemental materials.
