Any item, piece of equipment, software program, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities (https://www.atia.org/at-resources/what-is-at/ Assistive Technology Industry Association). This can be low tech (e.g. puff-painted lines on paper) or high tech (screen reading or language processing software). AT can also be inclusive or specialized learning materials and curriculum aids.
