HHMI BioInteractive has partnered with QUBES to raise awareness of their free science education resources with undergraduate faculty.  BioInteractive provides free multimedia resources, including apps, animations, videos, interactive and virtual labs, supplemented by teacher guides and classroom activities.  Recently, BioInteractive has developed quantitative and data-centric resources, including statistics, data manipulation, and graph generation and interpretation activities.  Explore videos of scientific stories with interviews and discussions with actual scientists.

HHMI BioInteractive and QUBES are pleased to offer a unique networking and professional development opportunity from June 2018 –  January 2019 for faculty interested in improving student quantitative skills in biology. Faculty participants in this network will work in small groups to produce teaching resources related to the theme of regulation at different scales (cellular/molecular, physiological, ecological) that support new or existing HHMI BioInteractive materials. For more information, visit https://qubeshub.org/groups/hhmibiointeractive2018.

Dates and Location

Participants will meet online to support the customization and implementation of activities in their course during the Fall 2018 semester. All participants must be able to attend the BioQUEST Summer Workshop at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA from June 18 - 23, 2018.
