Biological and Environmental Data Education Network

Welcome to our group! The Biological and Environmental Data Education Network (BEDE Network) has partnered with QUBES to develop and share teacher-training workshops, curricular designs, teaching modules, and best practices to help integrate computational data science skills into all levels of the biological and environmental sciences curriculum

Applications for the 2024 Annual Meeting of the BEDE Network are now CLOSED!

Where: Macaulay Honors College, City University of New York, New York City, with options to participate in person or virtually

When: June 10-12, 2024

The goal of our annual meetings is to convene educators in the biological and environmental sciences to discuss various themes revolving around the incorporation of data science pedagogy into courses and curricula. This year, we will be reflecting on the BEDE Network’s progress thus far, and planning for a sustainable future for the BEDE Network. We invite folks who are current members of the BEDE Network and new participants who are interested in contributing to the future of data science education and building a sustainable collaborative community of undergraduate instructors.

The application form and link to the preliminary agenda can be found here. The deadline to apply is February 26 and accepted applicants will be notified by March 5. Transportation, accommodations, and meals will be covered for attendees.
