More About Today's Guest:
Vijai Bhola, MD is trained in Infectious Diseases, Critical Care and Disaster Medicine. Born and raised in Trinidad, he brings a different perspective to global issues and has worked in Poland during the Ukraine crisis, and in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. He is also Co-Chair and co-founder of the Infectious Diseases Interest Group at the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine.
This week Dr. Vijai Bhola, critical care and infectious disease doctor discusses his journey to international medical work, and the ways in which that work has impacted the lives of others and his own. We discuss what it means to engage in medical practice in a mindset of 'beyond', and the behaviors that makes that sustainable.
