Welcome to the community!

We are creating an Open Education Resource to be named Pathways to Accelerating Social Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in STEMM.

We have begun to create a collaborative community for educators working on projects associated with social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in STEMM undergraduate  and health sciences programs. This site has forums for discussion, and is developing a set of collections including existing resources associated with Social Justice in STEMM undergraduate curricula, publications, curriculum descriptions, and chapters for the proposed "book". The book and its associated resource collections are meant to be living, evolving documents that are continually revised and augmented by this community.

As a collaboration of the Accelerating Systemic Change Working Group on Social Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, the BioQUEST curriculum consortium and SENCER we are developing a open education "book" and resource collections. Our plan is to first publish outlines for papers on the BioQUEST/QUBES site to solicit feedback and additions. The purpose of initial applications is to form groups of people who may wish to collaborate. We invite any other groups or individuals to join us.  Opportunities to collaborate or add to the site include:

·      Contribute to annotated collections of existing resources

·      Add to our collections of readings to support these issues

·      Contribute to the Faculty Resource Guide and Toolkit that is under construction

·      Contribute backgrounders to familiarize faculty with Social Justice Issues in STEMM

·      Propose new resources or collections to be created

·      Contribute to our forums

·      Contribute “book” chapters

This link has information on how to join our site and how to navigate the different spaces. We plan to form several working groups this fall. We hope to have a first draft of the full site by Dec. 1 2025. We will also be planning a grant to develop new materials as a result of these discussions.
