About Teaching and CourseSource
Diane Ebert-May is a University Distinguished Professor and Graduate Director in the Department of Plant Biology at Michigan State University. She provides national and international leadership in biology education research and teaching. Ebert-May’s lab group developed and tested a model for faculty and postdoc professional development in teaching and learning and are following the longitudinal influence of departments on the persistence of these faculty members’ teaching. Assessment of student learning comprises another dimension of her research. Her plant ecology research continues on Niwot Ridge, Colorado, where she has conducted long-term ecological research on alpine tundra plant communities since 1971.
