About Teaching and CourseSource

I have taught various undergraduate and graduate courses, including molecular biology, yeast metabolic engineering, metagenomics, high-throughput discovery, and bioethics. I have had the pleasure of teaching with and learning from students and teaching postdoctoral scholars from a variety of disciplines. My teaching philosophy centers on engaging students in the open creation of knowledge and meaning while learning about powerful molecular biology and biotechnology approaches. I am fascinated by ways to promote learning, curiosity, and self-motivation in all learners.

I am curious and eager to learn how others embrace scientific teaching practices to foster inclusive learning environments. I welcome each one of you to contribute to how you impact teaching and learning through CourseSource. I look forward to your submissions!
