RIOS co-founder Dr. Carrie Diaz Eaton featured on new podcast Carry the Two!

We're excited to announce that Dr. Diaz Eaton is the first guest host on the Institute for Mathematical & Statistical Innovation's new podcast, Carry the Two! The IMSI describes the podcast as "a show for people who enjoy discovering hidden elements that impact our lives in the most unexpected ways", which is absolutely our vibes here at RIOS.

As always, Dr. Diaz Eaton brings a very important question to the conversation: since policymakers often claim to incorporate DEI into policy documents, how can we test if that’s true? Listen to the episode to dive into this cool research! Available now on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Play, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts; just search for "Carry the Two".

The episode is based on an ongoing project by Dr. Diaz Eaton and collaborators Dr. Anelise Hanson Shrout and Jude Higdon, with funding from RIOS and QSIDE. You can learn more about it in this pre-print, titled "Who Are We Centering in This?: Analyzing language around equity and justice in STEMM education policy".
