Description

In this activity, students are engaged in the real life challenge to examine the dynamics of the pandemic using systems of nonlinear differential equations. The SIR model, force of infection and basic reproduction number are introduced to guide students to set up the equations and analyze the results. Students obtain estimates of model parameters from the real data and visualize the behavior of the solutions.
