From the introduction, “What role should technology play in teaching and learning undergraduate mathematics?  We assume the primary goals for using technology are to deepen student understanding of mathematics and statistics and to increase student motivation and engagement . We believe the informed and intelligent use of technology helps meet these goals .  We address teachers who seek to enhance current use of technology and colleagues who do not use technology now .  We discuss departments and institutions concerned with the implications of technology and also faculty incentives and rewards for the risks and hard work of creating and implementing technology innovations.”
