Article Abstract: This article presents a project for a differential equations class using an inverse problem based on the second order differential equation that models and electrical circuit.

Explicit instructions used by the authors are given for the project.

Data is collected for an RLC circuit and a number of laboratory activities are introduced to enable student s to estimate the parameters in the model. There are a number of different approaches used.
