Biologists and Graph Interpretation (BioGraphI) is a Research Coordination Network of faculty who work collaboratively to increase student persistence in biology through improving representation of diverse scientists in the curriculum and incorporating data interpretation skills.

Our Commitment to DEI

BioGraphI modules

BioGraphI modules address data literacy while fostering diversity in undergraduate biology classrooms. They are lessons about graph and data interpretation, featuring the scientific contributions of biologists who are members of historically excluded groups (HEGs). They include video interviews with these biologists, allowing students to hear directly from HEGs about their discoveries. Click here for an example module.

Professional Development

Professional development opportunities in this network include Faculty Mentoring Networks (FMNs) and conference workshops. FMNs occur in fall and spring semesters on QUBES. Conference workshops will be announced. Visit the Get Involved tab for more information, to apply for next semester's FMN, and see the list of upcoming conference workshops.

Network Events

Our online network events include interactive webinars, BioGraphI module showcases, and opportunities to connect with other members of our community. Click here to see our past and upcoming events.
