Description

This update gives undergraduate students R code to get them started on answering the primary research question posed in the original Data Nuggets activity: What are the habitat conditions where the most Wilson’s Warblers and Hermit Warblers are found? Students then manipulate the code to create graphs to answer the questions. In addition, they run linear regressions to determine significance of the predictor variables and the correlation between the number of warblers and the two variables of interest.

This activity was created for use in an upper division, senior level Applied Ecology course. Students worked in class for two 75 minute periods to complete the assignment.
