Kurt Sable has been a Hydrologist for the US Forest Service for 17 years, working for three different National Forests in Northern California. He discusses the short-term and long-term impacts of wildfires, including resource advising, suppression, and repair, Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER), impacts on the ecosystem, timber salvage, and forest ecosystem restoration.
