Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs) provide students with genuine research experiences and associated skills in the classroom. This resource, the HUMAN-ENVIRONMENT AQUATIC LAB (HEAL) CURE is a semester-long project scaffolded with activities that build the skills associated with research. It is targeting an upper division level ecology course but can be adapted to different levels and courses. This CURE is scaffolded over a semester, which prepares students to conduct a project in aquatic or aquatic adjacent (e.g., riparian) habitat. The resources include timeline, proposal worksheet, talk directions and talk rubric.

Description

Resources include HEAL-CURE summary, worksheet for proposal, article anatomy assignment, Human-Environment reflection assignment, and directions for final talk.
