I'm thinking this could be something like the current Dashboard, but work like Notification Center panel on a mac (or the existing Support Ticket question mark).  The idea is to put an icon in the upper left corner of the screen.  Once pressed, a sliding panel appears on the left, pushing the existing screen to the right, that contains all of your Groups and Projects, and maybe other Dashboard items of interest (like Wish Lists, Tickets, collected Resources, etc).  It could even have action items, like submit a resource, start a blog entry, send an email, etc.  It would be great to make it personalizable, like the Dashboard, with the ability to add/remove modules and actions, and order them however you like.

This could also include "notifications", such as a list of messages, updates on projects, etc.
