What do bio grad programs think of the biocalc + biostats sequence?

The biology department at my university is revamping their curriculum and I have a proposal to add a 1-year math sequence for bio majors that includes calculus, statistics, and discrete modeling (based on a textbook akin to Bodine, Lenhart and Gross).  Does anyone have any idea what biology graduate programs would think of such a sequence?  Does naming it matter, such as if it was entitled something "Math for the life sciences I and II" versus a more traditional "Calculus for the Life Sciences" and "Biostatistics"?  Thanks.
