I was wondering if you all have experience/opinion/advice on when to pay interns. I'm particularly thinking about low-income interns who would have to leave their regular jobs to do a summer internship and would have to go for a few weeks (or a month) without any payment. I don't think this is a good model, but I have no experience with a different one that has worked. I want to suggest changes in my institution, and I thought that this community would be a good place to start! Thanks!
