This is a list of the requirements of this Faculty Mentoring Network (FMN). Detailed instructions for sharing final products will be distributed in mid-October but an overview of the expectations has been shared below.

  1. Be an active participant for the entirety of the network
  2. Implement one complete EDDIE module during the Spring 2022 semester
  3. Share your final products and Instructor Notes to the QUBES Hub and Project EDDIE website

Be an active participant for the entirety of the network

To accomplish this goal, you must:

  • Attend all of your working group meetings
  • Post responses to assignment prompts in the forum
  • Post a reflection of your implementation in the forum
  • Post any adapted EDDIE materials and other relevant materials in the forum
  • Be a participant facilitator for a working group meeting

Implement materials into at least one lab period (or time equivalent, e.g., 2/3 lecture periods) during the Spring 2022 semester (time may vary depending on the module)

Your modifications should be implemented in at least one lab period (or time equivalent, e.g., 2 or 3 lecture periods or two weeks via virtual synchronous classroom) of your Spring 2022 course(s). The class time may vary depending on the module implemented and your course's parameters. You may choose to implement more than one module by either adapting a second module or utilizing the adaption by a fellow FMN participant, however you are only required to submit an instructor story for one implementation. If you have a question, please don't hesitate to ask your group leader.

Share your final products to the BioQUEST/QUBES Hub and Project EDDIE website

We ask that you share your teaching materials (teacher notes, curriculum materials, assessments, etc.) on the BioQuest/QUBES Hub site. We also ask that you share your instructor notes on the Project EDDIE site (see an example). More detailed instructions on this process will be posted by mid-February. View past examples of final products from all past Project EDDIE FMNs

We understand that scheduling meetings for a group of very busy faculty participants is difficult. If you have an unexpected conflict and are unable to attend a meeting, please let your group leader(s) know in advance.
