  • Biography
    Hi,
I'm a Microbial Ecologist/Biogeochemist by training, but now spend most of my professional time teaching and doing administrative work (Associate Dean of CAS). I grew up and went to school in the Midwest, was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador ('95-'97), did a postdoc at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Geomicrobiology), and now am a tenured Associate Prof of Biology at Saint Martin's University in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

I've been attending the ASMCUE conference for 5-6 years now and am excited to be fully participating with some initial teaching-scholarship research. This is the area that I'd really like to develop now and I'm hopeful the BSP will be just the right sort of kick I need!

Besides all that we have two kiddoes (10 and 13), and a dog (Ozzie) to keep us busy!

    Cheers!
