Biography
I am a PhD student in Forest Resources at ESALQ/USP, with an emphasis on Ecosystem Services. My research aim to compare the natural regeneration of tropical restoration plantings with the planted tree community and with the natural regeneration of forest remnants, and identify functional groups under and overrepresented and out of the natural regeneration of tropical restoration plantings. Also, I am evaluating if and how much the landscape quality (% of native forest remaining, connectivity index, distance to the nearest forest fragment), the age and the planting richness influence natural regeneration abundance and richness.
