The University of Akron-Wayne College
I am a biology professor at Wayne College a regional campus of The University of Akron in Ohio. I teach microbiology (major and non-majors), non-majors bio, and anatomy & physiology. I received my PhD in microbiology from Cornell University and received a BS in biology from The Ohio State University. I was a post-doctoral researcher with the DOE-National Energy Technology Lab for four years. I have been teaching for 4 years now. I enjoy it and I try to incorporate a lot of active learning into my classrooms. I participated in the Biology Scholars Assessment program a couple years ago. I am looking forward to learning more about discipline-based education research.
