About

This is an interlinked, five module (Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics - Variants, Genetics - Origins, Pharmacology) OER set, created at three general levels of learning (high school/informal education/non-science majors; early college science majors and non-science majors; later college/early grad school and science majors). Users can pick and choose which modules or parts of modules, and at what level of learning, they want to implement them. Users are also encouraged to edit as necessary for their particular learning environment or classroom setting. Self-discovery and peer-learning are emphasized throughout.

Science learning goals include: process of science, the nature of evidence, sorting through claims and how scientific claims are made, and quantitative skills.

Specific skills goals include: generating and comparing genetic and protein sequences, generating and using phylogenetic trees, and understanding the drug development and selection process.
