Travel Information

This workshop will be held at the University of Florida's Biodiversity Institute. Click either map for a searchable campus map.

The closest airport is the Gainesville Regional Airport. You can book a complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel through the hotel, but reservations should be made in advance. If the shuttle is not available you can be reimbursed for a taxi ride, just be sure to hold onto receipts. Uber cannot go to the Gainesville airport.

The meeting will take place at the Biodiversity Institute located at the Computer Science and Engineering Building (432 Newell Drive, CISE Bldg E251). The most convenient way to get there is by walking.  Attendees can meet in the Holiday Inn lobby and travel together.  The walk is a little over 0.5 miles.  The easiest way to get there is to head west about 0.3 mi on University Ave. You will then turn left, cross University and continue on Newell Dr. for about 0.2 miles. The door of the Institute opens on a lobby, and the lecture room where we will be meeting is just to the left.  It can’t be missed once you enter the Institute space.
