Trubook: Integrating Concepts In Biology

DIBS Faculty Mentoring Network

Data in Introductory Biological Sciences

Applications Due: 2 December 2019

If you teach introductory biology, you may be looking for a more data-driven approach to teaching the core concepts and competencies of Vision and Change. The three authors of ICB (Chris Paradise, Malcolm Campbell, and Laurie Heyer; http://www.bio.davidson.edu/icb) are joining forces with QUBES (http://qubeshub.org) to work with faculty who are interested in adapting and implementing selected cases from a wide range of topics in introductory biology using DIBS (Data in Introductory Biological Sciences).

Do you want your introductory biology students to think and act like scientists? Are interested in using data in your introductory biology course to develop quantitative reasoning and real-world problem-solving skills in your students? Then consider applying now to the Spring 2020 DIBS/Integrating Concepts in Biology/QUBES Faculty Mentoring Network (FMN).

Applications are due December 2, 2019. Please visit: https://qubeshub.org/groups/dibs for addition information and instructions on how to apply.
