Description
The first few slides are adapted from the original Reflective Writing materials published by BIOMAAP. In this version, there are additional new variations of writing prompts are given for each exam. To use this resource, first show the slide with the scientific results supporting the use of reflective writing in improving student exam scores. Next have the students complete the first reflective writing prompt prior to Exam 1. For future exams, only show the new prompt. This resource provides various writing promts to use before every exam so that the prompt is not always the same. From discussions with students, they especially enjoyed the one with inspirational quotes.
