This tool for formative assessment provides a mostly anonymous way for students to consider their confidence with a variety of skills related to quantitative reasoning in biology. The product of the assessment is a heatmap that the whole class can use for further discussion and an opportunity for student metacognition.
It is appropriate for use in both in person and remote settings.
