Description
Students will interpret data collected by actual scientists in the field and evaluate this information used to create permanent museum specimens. They will become familiar with the types of data collected and common conventions for sharing that information. By inspecting real field journals, students will be able to recognize patterns in types of data that are important for scientists to record and share – as well as data that may be unnecessary.
