A visual guide to common Orthoptera families found in Alberta created for undergraduate students and those new to insect identification. Visual images and descriptions are provided for key features and terminology needed to identify common adult grasshoppers, katydids, and true crickets to family. We welcome recommendations for additions and updates from the entomological community.
