This article examines the important role of mentoring in retaining new teachers, especially teachers of color, through the lens of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ). It discusses recent teaching retention statistics and outlines the three phases of the Teacher Mentoring Process: pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation.
