Many efforts in STEM education reform have focused on K12 and lower-level undergraduate courses. We present a course for upper division undergraduates and graduate students that uses different sampling techniques to increase communication among scientists working in different fields and to increase students' experience in working with different types of data and the diverse sampling techniques used in different STEM disciplines.
