  Rhea Ewing is an award winning artist, author, and science communicator. Over the last decade they have worked with scientists and nonprofit organizations big and small in creating visual communications around science and health. Rhea has written and illustrated micro learning modules for undergraduate classrooms at Central Michigan University, science comics for UW Madison, illustrated scicomm materials for the Poweshiek Skipperling conservation, and created informative diagrams for patient education on substance use disorder through Spirit Lake Wellness. Rhea is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and their work is deeply committed to equity and bridging connections between people of all walks of life. Well communicated science has the power to saves lives, and it is our responsibility to ensure that scientific information is accessible to all.
